    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    When is the Parade

The Parade is always held on a Saturday. If St. Patrick’s Day does not fall on a Saturday, the Parade is held the Saturday before St. Pat’s Day. The Parade always steps off at Noon.

Where can I view the Parade?

The Parade route begins on the corner of Tejon Street and E. St. Vrain and continues south on Tejon Street to Vermijo. The best seats are at the St. Pat’s Reviewing Stands, tickets are available both online and in person. However, the whole length of Tejon provides plenty of places to watch from, just keep yourself and any wee little ones behind the chalk line!

    Where can I park?

Best place to park is in any one of the City Parking Garages or other downtown parking lots. Street Meters will be working! If you park in residential areas, please be respectful of driveways and landscaping! Illegal parking can result in tickets, fines or having your car towed!

How long does the Parade last?

The Parade typically lasts about 1-1/2 hours.

How do I dress for the Parade and what's the weather like on St. Patty's Day?

We’d like to see EVERYONE dressed in GREEN (or orange or white – colors of the Irish flag)! Paint a shamrock on your cheek! Add some green glitter to your hair! Have fun! But seriously, the weather in Colorado Springs can change quickly! Last year we enjoyed 70+ degrees and sunshine! We’ll probably not be as fortunate this year, so dress for Colorado weather! We suggest you layer your garments.

    What about food and drinks?

Food and drink are sold at numerous locations along the parade route at local restaurants and pubs and at food booths on the street. Booths will serve soft drinks, hot dogs, burgers, tamales, etc. along with beverages. In addition, there are many restaurants in downtown Colorado Springs. Alcohol is not allowed anywhere outside along the parade route.

How do I get tickets to the Reviewing Stand?

Buy ONLINE! Tickets are $50/couple and includes an Irish flag to wave, a Parade Program to check out the Parade entries, and Irish “baubles.” Additional family member tickets are available for only $10 for children 14 and under. Tickets are required for entry prior to the Parade. We won’t be able to sell you a ticket the day of the Parade, so get them early!

Who can I call about being in the parade?

Please contact the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee of Colorado Springs at (719) 635-8803 Ext 2 for information regarding parade participation as a parade entrant, or vendor. Or visit the Parade Entry page on our website for an application! Deadline for entries is February 20th, so contact us TODAY!

What if I want to be a Parade Sponsor?

Please contact John O’Donnell at 719-635-8803 Ext 1 or John@ODonnell2.com. We’ll gladly take your call and personalize a Sponsor Package for you! You can also visit the Sponsors page of our website for our brochure.

What if it rains or snows?

Parade cancellation? No way! It’s only happened twice and it was global pandemic. But, rain, snow, or (preferably) Beautiful Colorado Sunshine, the parade will go on!
